HPA - Helping People Achieve

The organisation was founded in 1963 by the late Harold Garner. The first step was to open a school for children with an intellectual disability. In 1965 the school was taken over by the Education Department and the Association then undertook to build a pre-school, hostel, a supported employment workshop and training centre.

HPA is an Australian Disability Enterprise, while providing supported employment and accommodation options to Territorians.

Our vision as a company is to inspire and empower people with disabilities.  Supporting our employees and residents as they develop confidence, independence and learn life skills to lead a fulfilling everyday life in a world where there are no barriers.

Through the successful operation of the three core enterprises, HPA will continue to provide opportunity for the development of our greatest asset – ‘Our People’.

We are one hundred percent committed to the continuing development of the HPA brand and offer you an experience like no other.  Remember, when you do business with HPA you are supporting local Territorians with disabilities.

All new opportunities will be considered, so please think of us first – “no job is too big or too small”.
